Welcome to Oceanside

Oceanside is referred to as one of San Diego’s best kept secrets, but really, I think its caught a lot of visitors’ eyes and has increased its population in the last 4-5 years with new residents. I myself, was a transplant in 2008 when we moved from Orange County to escape the rising home prices and the shortage of land. I dreamed of just ‘some’ backyard without it costing our first born. We literally moved 17 minutes door to door from our home on the beach in San Clemente to a 10,000 sq. ft lot in a great neighborhood with a newer home and huge backyard for our growing family.

Oceanside has a great downtown area with farmer’s markets every Thursday and a Sunset market Thursday evenings with more food and vendors packed in a few streets than you could ever imagine. It’s the most eclectic food court imaginable with anything and everything from pad thai, every type of BBQ, sushi, fried chicken, seafood, burgers, tacos, greek to the most amazing cheesecakes, creme brulees, beignets, macaroons, ice cream, chocolate dipped anything and funnel cakes. There is definitely something for everybody plus always live music.

Oceanside has many boutique hotels, Gastropubs, breweries, lots of unique restaurants and shopping along with a vibrant artist area with murals, art festivals, tattoo shops and art walks. You’ll see lots of “Mom and Pop” businesses where the residents take pride in sponsoring local small businesses and keeping our community thriving. Some of the newest developments have been the housing and vacation residences along the downtown coast.

Oceanside is known for the beautiful beaches, a historic wooden pier which is the longest pier on the California Coast, quaint New England-style harbor, and it’s known for its bungalow-style neighborhoods and still one of the most affordable beach towns, even in 2022.
